Scott Ehle
Lead PastorScott Ehle has been the pastor of New Berlin FMC since August of 2015. After growing up in the Catholic church Scott felt God was not present in his life and became an Atheist in his early teens. Scott had several jobs throughout the years and one of them an actor in a local dinner theater. This is where he met his wife, Katie. Shortly after becoming friends Katie simply invited him to church with her. Once he started attending Compass Free Methodist in Janesville he realized that there was something different about Compass. He learned that church was about relationships with both people and God not just rules and rituals. Through prayer he felt the power of the Holy Spirit working in his life and decided that he needed to follow Christ no matter what that met and it has been an adventure ever since.
Scott and Katie got married January 1st, 2010. It wasn’t long after that that he felt God calling him into ministry. Since he had never worked in a church he didn’t know what that meant. Scott and Katie were expecting their first child about 6 months into their marriage and Scott felt that God was leading them to Kentucky so Scott could attend Asbury Seminary. That plan did not work out the way Scott had in mind. He quickly learned that God had a different plan and that was to attend Asbury University. While attending Asbury Scott was able to serve in ministry as one of Asbury’s tumbling coaches, and at Calvary FMC (as an intern) in Lexington.
Shortly after graduation (May of 2015) Scott was appointed to New Berlin FMC and moved to WI. Scott and Katie have two amazing kids, Landon and Paislee! Scott enjoys sports, board games, reading, meeting new friends, spending time with his family but most of all spending time with his Heavenly Father!
